Sunphenon and Teavigo
The Sunphenon® series, including the Teavigo® brand, consists of standardized tea polyphenols and natural catechins that have been shown to have numerous physiological benefits, including antioxidant, anti-microbial, deodorant and thermogenic activities.* Teavigo is produced from pesticide controlled green tea leaf, extracted via a water infusion process and decaffeinated using only approved food grade solvents. Taiyo’s green tea extracts comply with the strict U.S. FDA pesticide regulations for tea.

The Balanced One: Green Energy
Premium green tea extract with balanced caffeine, polyphenol ratio. Pesticide controlled! Made from traceable, organic green tea leaves.

Sunphenon® 70H-T has a balanced ratio of natural green tea caffeine and high natural green tea polyphenol content. No caffeine is added. To enrich caffeine in a green tea extracr is very difficult because by the same process also other organic residues such as pesticides are also enriched. Therefore, for the production of Sunphenon® 70H-T only 100% traceable and organic tea leaves can be used that are intensively analyzed and only leaves with the lowest levels of pesticides are used. Other caffeine rich extracts might be spiked with synthetic caffeine or might contain high pesticide levels.

The high content of polyphenols and caffeine, and a reasonable amount of EGCg, makes Sunphenon® 70H-T ideal for the development of energy drinks.

The Extreme Low Bitter One!
Premium green tea extract with the lowest bitterness. Sunphenon® XLB-100 is a decaffeinated and polyphenol rich green tea extract. As the gallates are mainly responsible for the bitterness, Sunphenon® XLB-100 is debittered by enzymatic treatment which hydrolyses the bitter tasting gallates. Sunphenon® XLB-100 has an excellent stability and very low astringency.
