Company History

Since its foundation in 1946, Taiyo has established itself as a leader in the development and production of emulsifiers, stabilizers, egg and tea based ingredients, and highly functional ingredients for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Today Taiyo manufactures more than 2,000 food formulations, processed eggs, fruit preparations, flavorings, emulsifiers, stabilizers and functional ingredients at manufacturing facilities around the world.

2019
Taiyo Kagaku India was established (former name: Taiyo Lucid Private Limited)
2018
Acquired 40% equity stake in Taiyo Lucid Private Limited from Lucid Colloid.
2017
Invention “Dried product containing high oil and fat (Patent No. 5948712)” won the 2017 Chubu Regional Invention Award.
2015
Established a joint venture, TMT Co., Ltd. (currently an affiliated company) with Microwave Chemical Co., Ltd. to manufacture and sell emulsifiers.
2014
Invention related to emulsifier “Oil fat crystal growth inhibitor (Patent No. 4443628)” won Mie Prefectural Governor Award” at 2014 Chubu Regional Invention Award
2013
Sponsored Dialogue with Life “Medicine and Food” Symposium.
2012
Chinese subsidiary Kaifeng JEANAVICE Food Co., Ltd. was established in Kaifeng, China for manufacturing and selling bakery products.

EU subsidiary Taiyo GmbH was established in Stuttgart, Germany.

Acquired “Kurumin”, the next-generation certification from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

Chinese subsidiary Taiyo Kagaku China Co., Ltd. was established in Shanghai, China.
